What Playita reads

With your permission, Playita reads your Music.app library to list your playlists and play their files. It only reads. It never changes your library, your playlists, or your files. Folders and songs you add from elsewhere are read where they are, and Playita remembers their location so it can find them again.

What is stored, and where

Your settings, the list of folders and songs you added, and a small cache of their titles, artists, and artwork. All of it lives in Playita's own folder inside your user library. It never leaves your Mac, and RojiApps cannot see it.

Network activity

None. Playita is built without permission to use the network, so it cannot go online even by mistake.

Notifications

If you turn on "Notify on track change", Playita asks macOS for permission and shows a banner on your Mac when the song changes. The banner is made on your Mac and goes nowhere else.

What is not collected

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No advertising identifiers or tracking
• No listening history. Playita remembers only the last playlist you played, on your Mac, for the "Open to" setting.

Your control

Forget any added folder or song in Settings at any time. Removing the app removes its settings and cache. Your music is never touched.

Children's privacy

Playita is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above revised.
